Text Cleaner and Formatter

Copied text often contains inconsistent spacing, unwanted HTML, irregular quotation marks or list markers that do not suit the destination. This tool applies only the changes you select and leaves the original input untouched.

Available formatting

Change text to uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case or inverted case. Title case keeps common short connecting words lowercase unless they begin the text.

Cleanup options can collapse repeated spaces, remove excess blank lines, trim individual lines, remove HTML tags, remove URLs and replace smart quotation marks with plain equivalents.

The list controls can add bullets, add sequential numbers or strip common bullet and number prefixes. Blank lines remain blank.

Privacy

The tool runs in the browser. It does not send the text to WordPress, write it to the database or contact an external service.

Will the tool overwrite my original text?

No. The formatted result appears in a separate read-only field.

Can I combine several formatting options?

Yes. Select the cleanup options, case and list treatment you need, then format the text once.

Does removing HTML execute the submitted markup?

No. The browser parses the string in an isolated document and returns its text content.

What does sentence case change?

It lowercases the text and capitalises the first letter at the beginning and after common sentence-ending punctuation. Review proper names after applying it.

Is my text stored?

No. The plugin has no server-side processing endpoint.
